Joining Foot Medic Gateshead at its inception is extremely exciting. I became interested in podiatry through working with a podiatrist, whilst being a partner in a running specialist retailer. As well as my interest and development of the profession itself, I have a great desire to help those who need it.
I am passionate about my continuous professional development to expand the range of experiences and services we can offer. MSK is a particular interest, having spent a lot of my life around athletics and running in general.
Away from podiatry I enjoy spending time with my children, love cooking, writing prose and listening to music.
Meeting the broad range of personalities that I do, is one of the real positives of the role of podiatrist. Engaging with people always offers an opportunity to learn.

As I wait for my degree to be finalised later this summer I work in Foot Medic in a supporting role to the podiatrist. I can treat a wide array for foot and ankle problems and assist in surgical procedures.
I have developed my own case load and look forward to taking care of the same patients in my capacity as a podiatrist in a matter of weeks.
Working for Foot Medic has provided me with a platform to develop professionally, progress my career and help more people with the investments in technology the company has made.

I love what I do. Working with patients with both 'core' and complex foot problems is really rewarding. The instant feedback and sense of achievement is amazing when I know I've helped someone leave my clinic better than when they came in. That is really powerful.
Just like my colleague Kayla, I'm waiting for the completion of my degree program before changing my role to fully cooked podiatrist. I look forward to extending my scope of practice and helping more patients.
