STEPHEN VINCE
Principal Podiatrist
BSc (HONS) MRCPOD
I am the owner and Principal Podiatrist at Foot Medic Gateshead. I am passionate about helping people improve their foot health and mobility, and I am committed to continuous professional development so we can offer the best possible care.
I have a particular interest in musculoskeletal podiatry (MSK), biomechanics and running-related injuries, having spent much of my life involved in athletics and running. I first became interested in podiatry while working alongside a podiatrist during my time as a partner in a specialist running retailer.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my children, cooking, listening to music and playing padel.
MICHAELA CLARK
Podiatrist
BSc (HONS) MRCPOD
I qualified as a podiatrist in 2024 and have a particular passion for treating children. I enjoy helping young patients feel comfortable and confident during their appointments, and I take pride in creating a calm, friendly environment for both children and parents. I am very caring with all of my patients and always aim to make people feel listened to, supported and at ease.
Having ADHD gives me a different perspective and brings many positives to my work. It helps me think creatively, build strong connections with patients, notice small details and approach each person as an individual. I am naturally curious and enjoy problem-solving, which helps me look at things from different angles and find the best approach for each patient.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my son and my dog, and I am also a Scout leader.
JENNIFER LONG
Podiatrist
BSc (HONS) MRCPOD
I qualified as a podiatrist in 2024 after previously working as a dental nurse. I decided to change career because I wanted a role where I could do more to help patients directly, rather than just assist in their care.
I have a wide range of interests within podiatry and enjoy treating many different foot problems, but I particularly enjoy carrying out nail surgery. I find it very rewarding to help patients who have been struggling with painful ingrown toenails and to make a real difference to their comfort and confidence.
I am friendly, approachable and always aim to make my patients feel relaxed and well cared for during their appointment.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two children and meeting up with friends.
